Ingredients
- 1 onion, chopped
- 500 ml (2 cups) button mushrooms
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) olive oil
- 45 ml (3 tbsp.) MTL Steak Spice Mix
- 454 g (1 lb) Québec ground beef
- 250 ml (1 cup) cheddar cheese, small cubes
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) cranberry jam
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) soy sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a hot skillet, sauté onion, mushrooms and garlic in some of the olive oil for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add steak spices and let cool.
- In a bowl, add the meat mixture, cheddar cubes, salt and pepper.
- Form into even meatballs.
- In a hot frying pan, sear the meatballs in the remaining olive oil for 5 to 6 minutes.
- Add the jam and soy sauce to coat the dumplings and continue cooking for 2 minutes.
