Classic soft cookie (soft butter, more brown sugar)

Cookie classique moelleux (beurre mou, plus de sucre brun)

Ingredients

  • 250 g (1 3/4 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 125 g (1/2 cup) soft butter (room temperature)
  • 150 g (3/4 cup) brown sugar
  • 50 g (1/4 cup) white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 200 g (1 cup) chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Cream soft butter with sugars.
  2. Add egg and vanilla, then mix.
  3. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt. Add chocolate chips.
  4. Shape dough into balls and bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10-12 minutes for cookies that are soft in the center and slightly crunchy around the edges.
