Ingredients
- 4 endives
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) butter, melted
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) maple syrup
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) herbes de Provence blend
- 2 lemons, juice removed
- 1 bunch asparagus, stems removed
- 8 slices ham
- 250 ml (1 cup) cheddar cheese, grated
- 250 ml (1 cup) mozzarella, grated
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200°C (400°F).
- In a pot of boiling, salted water, cook endives for 10 minutes.
- Remove and drain in a sieve or colander for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix butter, garlic, maple syrup, herbes de Provence, lemon juice, salt and pepper.
- On the work surface, cut the endives in half.
- In a gratin dish, arrange the endives and asparagus, spread the prepared mixture, add the ham, cheddar cheese and mozzarella and bake for 20 minutes.
