PORK ROUND WALNUTS WITH MILK
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 5 minutes - Cooking time : 126 minutes
Ingredients
- 2 pork chops
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 1.5 l (6 cups) milk
- 1 l (4 cups) Cep, cubed (or mushrooms of your choice)
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 bay leaves
- 2 sprigs rosemary
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 1 vegetable stock cube
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) honey or maple syrup
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a hot casserole dish, sear meat coated with Mycryo butter or the fat of your choice for 2 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, over high heat and in the remaining fat, sauté the onion for 2 minutes.
- Add the meat, milk, mushrooms, garlic, bay leaf, rosemary, thyme, stock cube and honey, cover and reduce over a very low heat for 2 hours. Turn the meat over halfway through cooking. Check the seasoning.
- The sauce will slice at the end of cooking; this is normal, as the milk forms clots. Simply blend the sauce and reduce if necessary.
- Cut the meat into thin slices.
- Serve meat slices topped with sauce and accompanied by fresh pasta.
