Pork round in milk (V.2)

PORK ROUND WALNUTS WITH MILK

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 5 minutes - Cooking time : 126 minutes

Ingredients

  • 2 pork chops
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 1.5 l (6 cups) milk
  • 1 l (4 cups) Cep, cubed (or mushrooms of your choice)
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 2 sprigs rosemary
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) honey or maple syrup
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a hot casserole dish, sear meat coated with Mycryo butter or the fat of your choice for 2 minutes on each side. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pan, over high heat and in the remaining fat, sauté the onion for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the meat, milk, mushrooms, garlic, bay leaf, rosemary, thyme, stock cube and honey, cover and reduce over a very low heat for 2 hours. Turn the meat over halfway through cooking. Check the seasoning.
  4. The sauce will slice at the end of cooking; this is normal, as the milk forms clots. Simply blend the sauce and reduce if necessary.
  5. Cut the meat into thin slices.
  6. Serve meat slices topped with sauce and accompanied by fresh pasta.
