Candied and glazed chicken drumsticks

CONFIT AND LACQUERED CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 1 hour 10 to 1 hour 45 minutes

Ingredients

  • 12 chicken drumsticks
  • 250 ml (1 cup) Kraft Italian dressing
  • 250 ml (1 cup) white wine
  • 250 ml (1 cup) Kraft Bulls Eye BBQ Sauce
  • 4 portions cooked white rice
  • Grilled vegetables of your choice
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Using a knife, score the flesh around the bone near the joint and remove the skin and flesh by pulling up and down.
  2. Clean the bone with a paper towel. You should get some nice chicken drumstick lollipops!
  3. Preheat barbecue or oven to 160°C (325°F), rack in center.
  4. In a small oven- or barbecue-safe dish, arrange the drumsticks vertically, pour over the Kraft Italian Dressing and white wine, cover with aluminum foil and bake on the middle rack of the oven or barbecue, cooking indirectly (with the heat turned off under the dish and the lid closed), for 1 hour to 1 hour 30 minutes, depending on the size of the drumsticks.
  5. Carefully remove the drumsticks from the pan (be careful, as the bone may easily detach from the flesh).
  6. Coat each drumstick with Kraft Bulls Eye BBQ sauce.
  7. Preheat barbecue to maximum.
  8. Grill the drumsticks indirectly for 10 to 15 minutes, until the BBQ sauce has caramelized around the drumsticks.
  9. Serve with rice and grilled vegetables.
