Ingredients
- 4 whole apples, core removed
- 250 ml (1 cup) ricotta cheese
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) rosemary ham, chopped
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 90 ml (6 tbsp) parsley leaves, chopped
- 125 ml (½ cup) panko breadcrumbs
- 8 slices bacon
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200°C (400°F).
- In a bowl, combine ricotta, ham, garlic, parsley, salt and pepper. Check seasoning.
- Spoon the prepared mixture into each apple.
- Arrange the apples in a gratin dish.
- Roll 2 slices of bacon around each apple.
- Sprinkle breadcrumbs over the top and bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Serve with a green salad.
