Roasted apples and bacon with fondue cheeses

Ingredients

  • 1 can Chic! wine fondue or Chic! Beer Fondue from 1001 Fondues
  • 2 potatoes, sliced
  • 4 apples, cored and peeled
  • 8 to 12 slices bacon
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) walnuts, chopped (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a baking dish, make 4 rosettes of potato slices, season with salt and pepper.
  3. Wrap each potato with bacon slices, leaving the top hole open.
  4. Remove the fondue cheese mixture from the bag, cut into small cubes and place in the hole in each apple.
  5. Place an apple in the center of each potato rosette.
  6. Sprinkle a few walnuts over the top of each apple and bake for 30 minutes.
