Ingredients
- 250 ml (1 cup) plain yogurt (preferably Greek)
- 1 cucumber, grated and drained
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) ground cumin
- 1 garlic clove, finely chopped
- 10 mint leaves, finely chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
Mix the yoghurt with the grated, well-drained cucumber. Add cumin, garlic, mint, salt and pepper. Stir well and refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving. Raita sauce is an excellent accompaniment to spicy dishes or grilled meats.
