Salmon duo tartare with sesame and ginger

Tartare de duo de saumon au sésame et gingembre

Ingredients

  • 1 tube of Salmon Duo (fresh salmon and smoked salmon)
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) fresh ginger, grated
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) toasted sesame seeds
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) soy sauce
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) rice vinegar
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) sesame oil
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander, chopped
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) sambal oelek or sriracha (to taste)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Preparation

  1. Empty the tube of Salmon Duo into a bowl. Add grated ginger, toasted sesame seeds and chopped green onion.
  2. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar and sesame oil. Add sambal oelek or sriracha to taste for a spicy touch. Gently mix to coat all ingredients.
  3. Add chopped fresh cilantro and season with salt and pepper, if necessary.
  4. Let sit in the refrigerator for 10 minutes to allow flavors to blend.
  5. Serve chilled with toast, crackers or as an appetizer on a bed of salad.
