CHOCOLATE AND QUINOA BROWNIES
Portions : 6 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 45 minutes
Ingredients
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) quinoa
- 115 gr (4 oz) Cacao Barry Venezuela Pure Origin 72% chocolate
- 170 g (6 oz) unsalted butter
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) Cacao Barry Plein Arôme 100% cocoa powder
- 3 eggs
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) sugar
- 1 orange, zest
- 1 pinch salt
Preparation
- Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200° C (400° F).
- Bring 375 ml of water to the boil in a saucepan.
- Spoon in the quinoa, stir and cook, covered, over a low heat for 20 minutes. Set aside in a bowl and leave to cool.
- Melt the chocolate and butter in a bowl in a bain-marie or microwave oven.
- Mix in the quinoa and cocoa powder. Add to the chocolate mixture. The mixture should be well blended.
- Whisk the eggs in a bowl, then add the sugar until light and fluffy. Add the orange zest and salt.
- Fold into the chocolate mixture.
- Butter and lightly flour a cake tin. Pour the mixture into the tin and bake for 25 minutes.
- Once baked, turn out and cut into portions.
