BBQ AND TZADIKI PORK GYROS

Ingredients
The Tzadiki
- 250 ml (1 cup) plain Greek yogurt
- ½ cucumber, drained and grated
- 1 clove garlic, chopped
- 10 mint leaves, finely chopped
- 4 slices Québec pork loin (1" thick)
- 90 ml (6 tbsp.) olive oil
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) dried oregano
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) thyme
- 90 ml (6 tbsp) white wine
- 4 Greek pita breads
- ½ Boston lettuce
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- 2 tomatoes, thinly sliced
Preparation
- Preheat barbecue to high.
- In a bowl, combine Greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic, mint, salt and pepper. Check seasoning. Set this Tzadiki aside in the fridge.
- In a separate bowl, combine oil, oregano, garlic, thyme, white wine, salt and pepper. Check seasoning.
- Coat pork slices with prepared sauce.
- Place pork slices on barbecue grill and grill for 2 minutes on each side.
- At the same time, heat the pita breads on the barbecue grill.
- Cut meat slices into strips.
- Garnish each pita with the tzadiki, salad leaves, red onion, tomato and meat strips.
