Grilled onion, herb chicken and sour cream pizza at the bbq

GRILLED ONION, HERB CHICKEN AND SOUR CREAM PIZZA AT BBQ

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 12 to 16 minutes

Ingredients

  • 8 onions, thickly sliced
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 pinches herbes de Provence
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) honey
  • 120 ml (8 tbsp.) olive oil
  • 2 Québec chicken breasts
  • 4 pizza dough balls
  • 250 ml (1 cup) sour cream
  • 250 ml (1 cup) mozzarella, grated
  • 18 cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Wooden picks

Preparation

  1. Preheat the BBQ to maximum.
  2. Thread all the onion rings onto the appropriate number of wooden skewers.
  3. In a bowl, mix garlic, herbes de Provence, honey, oil, salt and pepper.
  4. Brush the onion rings with the mixture.
  5. Grill the onion skewers on the BBQ grill for 4 minutes on each side.
  6. Meanwhile, cut the chicken breasts in half. Season with salt and pepper.
  7. On the BBQ grill, cook the chicken breasts for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
  8. Meanwhile, lay out the pizza dough on the work surface.
  9. Place the pizza dough on the BBQ grill and let it cook for about 1 minute on each side.
  10. Meanwhile, cut the chicken into thin slices.
  11. Divide the sour cream, onions, chicken, cheese and tomatoes between the doughs.
  12. Place the pizzas back on the BBQ grill, cooking indirectly (burner off under the pizzas), lid closed, and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
