Ingredients
- 24 Quebec chicken wings
- 90 ml (6 tbsp) cornstarch
- Salt and pepper to taste
The sauce
- 90 ml (6 tbsp) maple syrup
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) instant coffee
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) soy sauce
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) white vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat the fryer oil to 180 °C (350 °F).
- Coat the chicken wings with cornstarch, salt and pepper.
- Dip the wings in the fryer oil and cook until cooked through and browned.
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, mix maple syrup, coffee, garlic, chili, soy sauce, vinegar, salt and pepper. Check the seasoning.
- Dip the wings in the prepared sauce, just before serving.
