Ingredients
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 250 ml (1 cup) brown sugar
- 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 2 pinches salt
- 3 ml (1/2 tsp) baking powder
- 3 ml (1/2 tsp) baking soda
- 500 ml (2 cups) flour
- 250 ml (1 cup) chocolate chips, crushed (or chocolate chips)
Preparation
- Preheat the oven, rack in the middle, to 180 °C (350 °F).
- In a bowl, using a whisk, combine the butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract.
- Incorporate the egg and salt.
- Gradually incorporate the yeast, bicarbonate and flour.
- Once the mixture is homogeneous, add the chocolate.
- Form small balls.
- At this stage, wrapped in plastic wrap, the balls can be stored in the freezer.
- Otherwise, reserve in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
- On a baking sheet, covered with a silicone mat, arrange the pieces of dough and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
- Leave to cool.
