Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) unsalted butter, softened
  • 250 ml (1 cup) brown sugar
  • 5 ml (1 tsp) vanilla extract
  • 1 egg
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 3 ml (1/2 tsp) baking powder
  • 3 ml (1/2 tsp) baking soda
  • 500 ml (2 cups) flour
  • 250 ml (1 cup) chocolate chips, crushed (or chocolate chips)

Preparation

  • Preheat the oven, rack in the middle, to 180 °C (350 °F).
  • In a bowl, using a whisk, combine the butter, brown sugar and vanilla extract.
  • Incorporate the egg and salt.
  • Gradually incorporate the yeast, bicarbonate and flour.
  • Once the mixture is homogeneous, add the chocolate.
  • Form small balls.
  • At this stage, wrapped in plastic wrap, the balls can be stored in the freezer.
  • Otherwise, reserve in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • On a baking sheet, covered with a silicone mat, arrange the pieces of dough and bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
  • Leave to cool.
