Ingredients
- 250 ml (1 cup) canned chickpeas, rinsed
- 250 ml (1 cup) canned lentils, rinsed
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 120 ml (8 tbsp.) parsley leaves, chopped
- 120 ml (8 tbsp.) chives, snipped
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) oats
- 45 ml (3 tbsp.) soy sauce
- 1 lemon, juice
- 4 eggs
- 250 ml (1 cup) chickpea flour
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Topping
- Burger bun
- Condiments of your choice
- Tomato, lettuce
Preparation
- In a bowl, food processor or hand blender, purée chickpeas, lentils, garlic, parsley, chives, oats, eggs, soy sauce and lemon juice.
- Gradually blend in chickpea flour until a dense, malleable texture is obtained. Season with salt and pepper.
- Form into patties.
- In a hot frying pan, sear the patties in the fat of your choice for 2-3 minutes on each side. Continue cooking over medium heat for 5 minutes.
- Garnish burgers to taste and add a veggie burger patty.
