Thick, firm cookie (cold butter, more flour)
Ingredients
- 300 g (2 cups + 2 tablespoons) all-purpose flour
- 125 g (1/2 cup) cold butter, diced
- 100 g (1/2 cup) brown sugar
- 100 g (1/2 cup) white sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 pinch salt
- 200 g (1 cup) chocolate chips
Preparation
- Use cold butter, cut into cubes.
- Mix quickly with sugars.
- Add egg and vanilla, then dry ingredients. Do not overwork the dough.
- Add chocolate chips and shape into thick balls.
- Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 12-14 minutes for cookies that are firm, thick and slightly crisp on the outside.
