Soft and dense cookie (melted butter, brown sugar)

Cookie fondant et dense (beurre fondu, sucre brun)

Ingredients

  • 250 g (1 3/4 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 125 g (1/2 cup) melted butter
  • 150 g (3/4 cup) brown sugar
  • 50 g (1/4 cup) white sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 200 g (1 cup) chocolate chips

Preparation

  1. Melt butter and allow to cool slightly.
  2. Mix with sugars until smooth.
  3. Add egg and vanilla, then stir in dry ingredients.
  4. Add chocolate chips.
  5. Refrigerate dough for 30 minutes before forming cookies. Bake at 180°C (350°F) for 10-12 minutes.
  6. The melted butter gives a denser, more melt-in-the-mouth texture in the center.
