Croque-Monsieur with smoked salmon and pastrami

Croque-Monsieur au saumon fumé pastrami

Serves : 2

Preparation time: 5 minutes

Cooking time : 10 minutes

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Spread two slices of bread with a thin layer of béchamel.
  2. Add pastrami smoked salmon, chopped capers and 1/2 cup grated cheddar.
  3. Cover with the remaining slices of bread.
  4. Butter the outside of the sandwiches and toast in a pan until golden and crisp.
  5. Pour the remaining béchamel sauce over the top of the sandwiches and sprinkle with the remaining grated cheddar.
  6. Place under the broiler for a few minutes to brown.
  7. Serve hot, with a green salad if desired.
