Ingredients
- 500 g shredded braised beef
- 680 g ready-to-use mashed potatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 carrot, grated
- 1 liter (4 cups) fresh spinach
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) butter
- 250 ml (1 cup) grated cheddar cheese
- salt and pepper
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 200°C.
- Melt butter in a hot skillet over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and grated carrot, and sauté for 5 to 7 minutes until tender and lightly browned. Then add the fresh spinach and cook for about 3 minutes, until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the shredded braised beef to the vegetable mixture and mix well.
- In a casserole dish, spread beef and vegetable mixture in an even layer. Top with ready-to-use mashed potatoes, then sprinkle with grated Cheddar.
- Bake at 200°C for 30 minutes, until the top is golden and crisp.
