Ingredients
- 420 g simmered chicken (sweet mustard & maple syrup), shredded
- 8 slices sandwich bread
- 500 ml (2 cups) cooked green peas
- 250 ml (1 cup) crisply chopped bacon
- 500 ml (2 cups) poutine sauce
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Heat poutine sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Lightly toast slices of bread.
- Place two slices of bread on each plate.
- Spread the shredded chicken over the bread, then add the cooked green peas.
- Sprinkle with crisp, chopped bacon.
- Pour hot poutine sauce generously over all.
- Season to taste with salt and pepper.
- Serve immediately, piping hot.
