Ingredients
- 500 ml (2 cups) canned white beans, rinsed
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 125 ml (½ cup) tahini
- 5 ml (1 tsp) sweet smoked paprika
- 1 lemon, juice
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) olive oil
- 60 ml (4 tbsp) water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Pita chips
- 4 pita breads, split in half
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) zaatar blend
- 3 ml (1/2 tsp) Provencal herbs blend
- 90 ml (6 tbsp) olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Using a food processor or a hand blender,puree the beans, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, olive oil and paprika.
- Gradually add water, if necessary, to obtain a nice creamy and smooth texture. Check the seasoning.
- Preheat the oven, rack in the center to 200 °C (400 °F).
- Cut the pita breads into triangles.
- In a bowl, mix the zaatar, herbs of Provence, olive oil, salt, pepper, then add the pita bread triangles, to coat them.
- On a baking sheet covered with a silicone mat, spread the pita bread triangles and bake in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes, until golden.
