Ingredients
- 250 g (1 3/4 cups) all-purpose flour
- 125 g (1/2 cup) cold butter, diced
- 100 g (1/2 cup) sugar
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Preparation
- Mix flour, salt and sugar in a bowl.
- Add the cold butter in pieces and rub between your fingers until you obtain a sandy texture.
- Add the egg yolk and vanilla extract (optional), then mix quickly to form a ball.
- Refrigerate for 30 minutes before rolling out and cutting into desired shapes.
