Revised Shepherd's Pie with Pulled Pork, BBQ Sauce and Sautéed Brussels Sprouts

Pâté Chinois Revisitée au Porc Effiloché, Sauce BBQ et Choux de Bruxelles Sautés

Serves : 4

Ingredients

  • 500 g pulled pork (pre-cooked)
  • 680 g ready-to-use mashed potatoes
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) BBQ sauce
  • 400 g Brussels sprouts, halved
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 tbsp. olive oil
  • salt and pepper

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C.
  2. Heat olive oil in a hot frying pan over medium heat. Add Brussels sprouts, chopped yellow onion and garlic. Sauté for about 10 minutes, until the Brussels sprouts are golden and tender. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. In a bowl, mix the pulled pork with the BBQ sauce.
  4. In a casserole dish, spread pulled pork with BBQ sauce in an even layer. Add the sautéed Brussels sprouts in a second layer. Top with mashed potatoes.
  5. Bake at 180°C for 25 minutes, until lightly browned on top.
