Ingredients
- 1 100 g packet smoked pastrami salmon
- 1 shortcrust pastry
- 2 cups fresh spinach
- 3 eggs
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) 15% cooking cream
- 1 cup grated cheddar cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
- Brown spinach in a skillet until tender.
- In a bowl, beat the eggs with the cream, grated cheddar, salt and pepper.
- Roll out the shortcrust pastry in a pie tin.
- Add the spinach and sliced pastrami smoked salmon to the bottom of the tart.
- Pour the egg mixture over the top.
- Bake for 30 minutes until the quiche is golden brown.
