Cheddar-mushroom rolls

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Cooking time : 30 to 40 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 ball butter puff pastry, store-bought
  • 250 ml (1 cup) Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 250 ml (1 cup) Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 250 ml (1 cup) button mushrooms, sliced
  • 3 jalapenos, without white membranes or seeds, chopped
  • 250 ml (1 cup) tomato sauce
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 60 ml (¼ cup) butter, melted
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200°C (400°F).
  2. On a work surface, roll out the dough, sprinkle with the Parmesan and Cheddar cheeses, mushrooms and pepper pieces.
  3. Roll the dough into a ball, then cut into two-inch-thick pieces.
  4. Pour the tomato sauce into a cake tin and arrange the rolls.
  5. In a bowl, mix garlic, butter, salt and pepper.
  6. Pour the prepared mixture over the top and bake for 30 to 40 minutes.
