Ingredients
- 380 g pork meatballs in hamburger steak sauce (sous vide)
- 4 sandwich buns (such as burger buns or ciabatta bread)
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) mayonnaise
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) Dijon mustard (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Heat a pot of water to a boil and immerse the bag of sous vide pork meatballs in the water for 5 to 6 minutes to warm them.
- Meanwhile, cut the sandwich buns in half and lightly toast them in a pan or toaster until they are crispy.
- Open the bag of pork meatballs, cut the meatballs in half if necessary to fit them in the sandwich.
- Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise (mixed with Dijon mustard if desired) on the bottom halves of the buns.
- Place a lettuce leaf, a slice of tomato, then the pork meatballs on each sandwich. Add a little of the meatball sauce for extra flavor. Season with a little salt and pepper if desired.
- Close the sandwiches and serve immediately.
