Tuna tartare with tomato and basil

Tartare de thon à la tomate et basilic

Ingredients

  • 130 g fresh tuna, finely diced
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) cherry tomatoes, finely diced
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) fresh basil, finely chopped
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) fresh lemon juice
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) toasted pine nuts
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preparing the tuna: Place the tuna cubes in a bowl.
  2. Mixing the ingredients: In the bowl with the tuna, add the tomatoes, basil, lemon juice, pine nuts and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix gently to coat the tuna with all the ingredients.
  3. Serving: Serve the tuna tartare very fresh, accompanied by slices of toasted bread for a crispy texture. You can also present it with a rocket salad for a touch of freshness.
