Classic tuna tartare

Tartare de thon classique

Ingredients

  • 130 g fresh tuna, finely diced
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) red onion, finely chopped
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) capers, drained
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) fresh lemon juice
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp) chives, finely chopped
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp) extra virgin olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preparing the tuna: Place the tuna cubes in a bowl.
  2. Mixing the ingredients: In the bowl with the tuna, add the red onion, capers, lemon juice, chives and olive oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix gently to coat the tuna with all the ingredients.
  3. Serving: Serve the tuna tartare very fresh, accompanied by slices of toasted bread for a crispy texture. You can also present it with a green salad for a touch of freshness.
