Ingredients
- ½ cauliflower, chopped
- 500 ml tempura flour
- 375 ml cold water
- 1 teaspoon Provençal herbs
- 2 cloves garlic, puréed
- ¼ tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tbsp sambal olek hot sauce
- 6 tbsp sweet and sour sauce
- salt and pepper
Preparation
- Preheat deep fryer to 375F
- In a bowl, whisk tempura flour with water. Add gradually until smooth.
- Add turmeric, garlic, sambal olek and Provençal herbs.
- Season cauliflower pieces with salt and pepper.
- Place in tempura batter.
- Place the cauliflower in the deep fryer, piece by piece.
- Cook until golden brown.
- Add a pinch of salt and serve with a sweet and sour sauce.
