Chicken skewers with sesame and chilli

CHICKEN SKEWERS WITH SESAME AND CHILLI

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 5 minutes - Cooking : 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 45 ml (3 tablespoons) Hoisin sauce
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) sesame oil
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) canola oil
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) Sambal Oelek hot sauce
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) peanut butter
  • 400 g (13 1/2 oz.) Québec chicken breast cubes
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) peanuts, crushed
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) fresh coriander, chopped
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) sesame seeds

Preparation

  1. Preheat BBQ to maximum.
  2. In a bowl, combine Hoisin sauce, sesame oil, canola oil, hot sauce and peanut butter.
  3. Add and coat chicken cubes with prepared sauce.
  4. Make small skewers, alternating chicken and red bell pepper.
  5. Place skewers on BBQ grill and cook for 2 minutes on each side, depending on the size of the chicken cubes.
  6. Sprinkle skewers with peanuts, fresh coriander and sesame seeds.
