Ingredients
- 1 bag hamburger steak pork meatballs in brown sauce with caramelized onions, pre-cooked and vacuum-packed
- 8 small corn or wheat tortillas
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) sour cream
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 lettuce, thinly sliced
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) fresh herbs (coriander or parsley), finely chopped
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) grated Monterey Jack cheese
- Hot sauce to taste
- Salt and black pepper to taste
Preparation
1. Cooking the meatballs
You can reheat the pork meatballs in brown sauce with caramelized onions either in a frying pan over medium heat until heated through, or by immersing the bag in a pot of boiling water for 10 minutes.
2. Assembling the tacos
Reheat tortillas according to package instructions, either in the pan, oven or microwave.
Place a portion of sauce balls on each tortilla. Add a dollop of sour cream, diced tomatoes, thinly sliced lettuce and fresh herbs.
Sprinkle with grated Monterey Jack cheese and season with hot sauce to taste, and salt and pepper if necessary.
3. Serve
Serve tacos immediately, accompanied by lime wedges and additional hot sauce for those who like a little more kick.
