Korean-style chicken skewer

KOREAN-STYLE CHICKEN SKEWER

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 6 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 Québec chicken breasts, cubed
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) ginger, grated
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) garlic cloves, minced
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) soy sauce
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) sesame oil
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) Hoisin sauce
  • Skewers

Sauce

  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) honey
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) mint leaves, chopped
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) coriander leaves, chopped
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) canola oil
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) green onions, chopped
  • 3 limes, juice
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) peanuts, crushed

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, combine ginger, garlic, soy sauce, Hoisin sauce and sesame oil. Add chicken cubes to coat with sauce.
  2. Thread chicken onto skewers.
  3. On a grill or ridged pan, grill the skewers for 2 to 3 minutes per side, until the meat is cooked.
  4. Meanwhile, mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl.
  5. Brush each cooked skewer with the sauce and serve.
