Grilled pork chops with oka cheese and mushrooms

GRILLED PORK CHOPS WITH OKA CHEESE AND MUSHROOMS

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 5 minutes - Cooking : 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 4 Québec pork chops, boneless
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) maple syrup
  • 3 sprigs thyme, leaves removed
  • 500 ml (2 cups) button mushrooms
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) 35% cream
  • 12 thin slices Oka cheese
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a hot skillet, sear the pork chops, coated with Mycryo butter, or in the fat of your choice
  2. 2 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper, remove and set aside on a plate.
  3. In the same hot pan, sauté the onion for 2-3 minutes. Then add the garlic, syrup, thyme, mushrooms
  4. cream and Oka cheese. Check seasoning.
  5. Add the pork chops and simmer for 5 minutes over medium heat.
