Cauliflower and ham gratin

CAULIFLOWER AND HAM GRATIN

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 20 minutes - Cooking : 35 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 leek, thinly sliced
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 chicken stock cube
  • 500 ml (2 cups) homemade béchamel sauce
  • 2 sprigs thyme, leaves removed
  • 1 cauliflower, small florets
  • 500 ml (2 cups) cooked ham, in small cubes
  • 250 ml (1 cup) cheddar cheese, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a hot skillet, brown the leek in the fat of your choice for 2 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic, bouillon cube and ¼ cup water and stir.
  4. Add the béchamel sauce, thyme, cauliflower, ham, salt and pepper. Check seasoning.
  5. Place the prepared mixture in a gratin dish, cover with cheese and bake for 30 minutes.
