Tuna and pea gratin

TUNA AND PEA GRATIN

Portions : 4 - Preparation time : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
  • 1 garlic clove, chopped
  • 250 ml (1 cup) green peas
  • 500 ml (2 cups) tuna (canned)
  • 500 ml (2 cups) béchamel sauce
  • 3 ml (1/2 tsp.) nutmeg, ground
  • 250 ml (1 cup) Mozzarella cheese
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) bread crumbs
  • 4 portions white rice, cooked
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a hot skillet, sauté the onion in the fat of your choice until browned. Add the garlic and peas and cook for a further 2-3 minutes. Season to taste.
  3. In a bowl, mix the tuna, béchamel sauce, nutmeg and half the Mozzarella and check the seasoning.
  4. Pour the mixture into a gratin dish, cover with the remaining Mozzarella and breadcrumbs. Bake for 20 minutes.
  5. Serve with rice.
