HUMMUS
Output: 1.2 L (5 cups) - Preparation time: 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 500 ml (2 cups) chickpeas, cooked
- 100 ml (3/8 cup) sesame seeds, mashed (Tahine)
- 1 clove garlic, peeled
- 80 ml (1/3 cup) lemon juice
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) water
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In the bowl of a food processor, add all ingredients and blend until creamy. Check seasoning.
- Enjoy with pita bread, nachos or as a dip with vegetables.
- To make hummus with beet, herbs or roasted bell pepper, simply add a cooked portion to the mixture when blending. You'll need to reduce the amount of water if necessary.
