Gourmet pizza on a slice of farmhouse bread

GOURMET PIZZA ON A SLICE OF FARMHOUSE BREAD

Portions : 4 - Preparation time : 5 minutes - Cooking time : 12 minutes

Ingredients

  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) chives, chopped
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) parsley leaves, chopped
  • 4 large slices country-style bread
  • 500 ml (2 cups) mozzarella and cheddar cheese, grated
  • 8 slices Prosciutto, thinly sliced
  • salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 220°C (425°F).
  2. In a bowl, grate tomatoes. Add garlic, chives, parsley, salt and pepper and toss to combine. Check seasoning.
  3. Place bread slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  4. On each slice of bread, spread the prepared mixture, then the cheese. Bake for 10 minutes. Then broil for 2 minutes.
  5. Place a slice of Prosciutto on each slice of bread and serve, accompanied by a green salad.
