SMOKED POTATO WITH MELTED CHEESE
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 15 to 20 minutes
Ingredients
- 12 Ratte potatoes
- Wood chips of your choice
- 1 bunch thyme
- 6 slices raclette cheese
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) white balsamic vinegar
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Place the potatoes in a large pot of cold, salted water, bring to the boil and cook until the potatoes are cooked but still firm. Drain and slice in half.
- Place the wood shavings and thyme bouquet in an aluminum container.
- Using a blowtorch, ignite the wood shavings and place the container in the BBQ.
- Place the potatoes on the BBQ's cool grill, close the lid and let the potatoes soak up the smoke for 10 minutes, then take them out.
- Preheat the BBQ to maximum.
- Lightly hollow out the flesh of each potato half and place a piece of cheese in the hollow.
- Place the potatoes on the BBQ grill and cook for 5 minutes.
- Just before serving, drizzle a few drops of balsamic vinegar over the potatoes.
