SHRIMP AND SESAME FRIED RICE
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 15 minutes - Cooking : 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 125 ml (½ cup) carrot, finely diced
- 125 ml (½ cup) red bell pepper, brunoise
- 125 ml (½ cup) green peas
- 45 ml (3 tbsp.) canola oil
- 24 shrimp 31/40, shelled
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) ginger
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) Sambal Oelek
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) soy sauce
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) Hoisin sauce
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) sesame oil
- 4 portions white rice, cooked
- 125 ml (½ cup) coriander leaves, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste.
Preparation
- In a hot skillet or wok, sauté onion, carrot, red bell pepper and peas in canola oil. Add the shrimp, garlic and ginger and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes.
- Add the Sambal Oelek sauce, soy sauce, Hoisin sauce and sesame oil.
- Add the cooked rice, mix and sprinkle with the coriander.
