THIN APPLE TART
Output: 2 thin tarts - Preparation time: 5 minutes - Cooking time: 35 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 ball butter puff pastry
- 2 Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced
- 90 ml (6 tablespoons) sugar
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 sachet vanilla sugar
- 1/2 lime, zested
Preparation
- Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200°C (400°F).
- On a work surface, roll out the puff pastry thinly and cut into two equal squares.
- Place the pastry squares on a baking sheet lined with a silicone mat or parchment paper.
- On each piece of pastry, spread the apple slices, then half (45 ml/3 tbsp) of the sugar, vanilla sugar, zest and butter, and bake for 30 minutes.
- Remove the baking sheet and turn the oven to broil.
- Spread the remaining sugar and hazelnuts over the top of the tarts and bake for 2 to 3 minutes, until golden brown.
