TARTIFLETTE WITH LOCAL CHEESE
Portions : 4 - Preparation time : 15 minutes - Cooking time : 35 minutes approx.
Ingredients
- 2 onions, thinly sliced
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) fat of your choice (butter, oil or Mycryo cocoa butter)
- 125 ml (½ cup) white wine
- 1 sprig thyme, leaves removed
- 4 slices bacon, crisp, chopped
- 125 ml (½ cup) 35% cream
- 6 Yukon Gold potatoes, thinly sliced
- 8 to 12 slices Oka cheese
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat oven, rack in center, to 190°C (375°F).
- In a hot skillet, sauté the onion in the fat of your choice until browned.
- Add the white wine and thyme and reduce by half.
- Add the crisp bacon and cream. Check seasoning.
- Remove from the heat, add the potato slices and stir.
- Spread the mixture in a gratin dish, cover with slices of Oka cheese and bake in the oven for 30 minutes, the time needed to cook potatoes.
