SQUASH SPAGHETTI WITH BOLOGNESE SAUCE
Portions : 4 - Preparation time : 15 minutes - Cooking time : 45 minutes
Ingredients
- 1 large spaghetti squash
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 60 ml (1/4 cup) olive oil
- 750 ml (3 cups) Bolognese sauce
- ½ bunch basil, leaves removed
- 250ml (1 cup) grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat oven, rack in center, to 180° C (350° F).
- Cut the squash in half and remove the seeds.
- Place the two squash halves on a baking sheet.
- Add a sprig of thyme and a clove of garlic to each cavity.
- Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
- Once the squash is cooked, remove the garlic and thyme, then use a fork to gently scrape out the flesh in the form of strands (spaghetti).
- Collect all the flesh in a large bowl, add a little olive oil and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Heat the Bolognese sauce in a frying pan. Add the squash and cook for 2 minutes.
- Divide between serving plates, then add the fresh basil and Parmesan.
