Tomato and hot mustard tart

TOMATO AND HOT MUSTARD TART

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking : 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 ball puff pastry, homemade or store-bought
  • 2 heirloom tomatoes, sliced
  • 60 ml (4 tablespoons) hot mustard
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) dried oregano
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 45 ml (3 tablespoons) olive oil
  • 45 ml (3 tablespoons) capers
  • Ground pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Roll out puff pastry on work surface.
  3. Place pastry in a pie dish. Using a fork, prick the tart base.
  4. Brush the tart base with mustard and arrange the tomato slices, overlapping slightly.
  5. In a bowl, mix oil, garlic, oregano, capers and pepper.
  6. Spread over tomatoes and bake for 30 minutes.
