Dumpling kimchi

KIMCHI DUMPLING

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 20 minutes - Cooking time : 7 to 10 minutes

Ingredients

  • 250 ml (1 cup) peeled shrimp, chopped
  • 500 ml (2 cups) Québec pork, chopped
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) sweet Kimchi
  • 45 ml (3 tablespoons) sesame oil
  • 45 ml (3 tablespoons) soy sauce
  • 15 ml (1 tbsp.) ginger, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 package dumpling noodles
  • 1 egg, beaten with a fork
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) canola oil
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) water

Preparation

  1. Mix all ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Arrange dumpling dough on work surface. In the center of each, place about 30 g (1 oz) of the prepared mixture, and brush the edges with beaten egg. Close the pastry over the filling.
  3. In a hot skillet, in hot canola oil, spread the dumplings and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, until golden.
  4. Add the water, cover and cook for a further 5 minutes.
