Breaded chicken strips with caper and lemon mayonnaise

BREADED CHICKEN STRIPS WITH CLEMENTINE AND LEMON MAYONNAISE

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking : 5 minutes

Ingredients

  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) flour
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) onion powder
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) garlic powder
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) sweet paprika
  • 12 Québec chicken strips (approx. 750 g/1.5 lb)
  • 500 ml (2 cups) canola oil
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) mayonnaise
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp.) capers, chopped
  • ¼ bunch parsley, leaves removed, chopped
  • 1 lemon, zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
  2. Roll the chicken strips in the mixture.
  3. Heat the oil in a frying pan.
  4. Place the chicken strips, one at a time, in the pan and cook until golden-brown.
  5. Set aside on paper towels.
  6. In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, capers, parsley and lemon zest. Check seasoning.
  7. Enjoy the chicken strips with a little mayonnaise.
