BREADED CHICKEN STRIPS WITH CLEMENTINE AND LEMON MAYONNAISE

Ingredients
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) flour
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) onion powder
- 15 ml (1 tablespoon) garlic powder
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) sweet paprika
- 12 Québec chicken strips (approx. 750 g/1.5 lb)
- 500 ml (2 cups) canola oil
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) mayonnaise
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) capers, chopped
- ¼ bunch parsley, leaves removed, chopped
- 1 lemon, zest
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix flour, onion powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt and pepper.
- Roll the chicken strips in the mixture.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan.
- Place the chicken strips, one at a time, in the pan and cook until golden-brown.
- Set aside on paper towels.
- In a bowl, mix the mayonnaise, capers, parsley and lemon zest. Check seasoning.
- Enjoy the chicken strips with a little mayonnaise.
