Pork loin steak with coffee

PORK LOIN PAVÉ WITH COFFEE

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 5 minutes - Cooking time : 15 minutes

Ingredients

  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) coffee, ground
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) soy sauce
  • 15 ml (1 tablespoon) brown sugar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 90 ml (6 tbsp) olive oil
  • 60 ml (4 tbsp) white balsamic vinegar
  • 4 Québec pork loin steaks (1" thick)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 200°C (400°F).
  2. In a bowl, combine coffee, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, salt and pepper.
  3. Coat meat steaks with mixture.
  4. In a hot frying pan, sear the meat for 1 minute on each side.
  5. Arrange meat on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Serve with green vegetables and sautéed potatoes.
