Ingredients
- 24 Québec chicken wings
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) sweet and spicy Thai sauce
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) sesame seeds
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) sesame oil
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) rice vinegar
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) soy sauce
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) fish sauce
- 15 ml (1 tbsp) lemongrass, chopped
- 3 ml (1/2 tsp.) chili flakes
- 1 lime, juice
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) honey
- salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a pot of boiling, salted water, boil the chicken wings for 10 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix Thai sauce, sesame seeds, sesame oil, rice vinegar, soy sauce, fish sauce, lemongrass, chillies, lime juice and honey.
- Divide the sauce into 2 bowls.
- In a plastic bag or bowl, mix one half of the sauce with the chicken wings. Marinate overnight in the fridge (covered).
- Preheat the bbq on high.
- On the grill of the bbq, cook the chicken wings indirectly for 15 minutes, basting them regularly with the remaining sauce.
- Finish cooking directly, 5 minutes on each side.
