CHICKEN WINGS FURIES
Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 25 to 30 minutes
Ingredients
- 24 Québec chicken wings
- 90 ml (6 tablespoons) flour
- 30 ml (2 tablespoons) Sambal Oelek
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) Tabasco
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) horseradish
- 125 ml (1/2 cup) brown sugar
- 45 ml (3 tbsp.) sesame seeds
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) garlic powder
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) onion powder
- 1 lemon, juice
- salt and freshly ground pepper to taste
Preparation
- Preheat oven, rack in center, to 190° C (375° F).
- In a saucepan of boiling water, add the wings and, once boiling, leave to boil for 5 minutes.
- Drain, dry and roll in flour. Set aside.
- In a bowl, combine Sambal Oelek, Tabasco, horseradish, brown sugar, sesame seeds, garlic powder, onion powder and lemon juice. Stir in 15 ml (1 tbsp.) flour to make a thick marinade. Check seasoning.
- Dip chicken wings in marinade.
- Place wings on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Turn the wings over and bake for a further 10 minutes.
- For extra crispiness, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking.
