Furious chicken wings

CHICKEN WINGS FURIES

Portions : 4 - Preparation : 10 minutes - Cooking time : 25 to 30 minutes

Ingredients

  • 24 Québec chicken wings
  • 90 ml (6 tablespoons) flour
  • 30 ml (2 tablespoons) Sambal Oelek
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) Tabasco
  • 30 ml (2 tbsp.) horseradish
  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) brown sugar
  • 45 ml (3 tbsp.) sesame seeds
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) garlic powder
  • 5 ml (1 tsp.) onion powder
  • 1 lemon, juice
  • salt and freshly ground pepper to taste

Preparation

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 190° C (375° F).
  2. In a saucepan of boiling water, add the wings and, once boiling, leave to boil for 5 minutes.
  3. Drain, dry and roll in flour. Set aside.
  4. In a bowl, combine Sambal Oelek, Tabasco, horseradish, brown sugar, sesame seeds, garlic powder, onion powder and lemon juice. Stir in 15 ml (1 tbsp.) flour to make a thick marinade. Check seasoning.
  5. Dip chicken wings in marinade.
  6. Place wings on a baking sheet and bake for 10 minutes. Turn the wings over and bake for a further 10 minutes.
  7. For extra crispiness, broil for 2-3 minutes at the end of cooking.
