INGREDIENTS

  • 125 ml (1/2 cup) butter
  • 45 ml (3 tablespoons) sugar
  • 250 ml (1 cup) brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 3 ml (1/2 tsp.) natural vanilla extract
  • 8 ml (1/2 tbsp) baking powder
  • 250 ml (1 cup) flour
  • 250 ml (1 cup) rolled oats
  • 125 ml (½ cup) Barry Ocoa Cacao chocolate, chopped

PREPARATION

  1. Preheat oven, rack in center, to 190°C (375°F).
  2. In a bowl, whisk together butter, sugar and brown sugar.
  3. Stir in egg, salt, vanilla, baking powder, then flour and oats.
  4. Stir in the chocolate chips.
  5. Using a rolling pin, roll out the dough on the work surface to a thickness of about 1/2”.
  6. Using a cookie cutter of your choice, cut out the dough.
  7. Place the cookies on a baking sheet lined with a silicone mat and bake for 12 to 15 minutes.
  8. Cool on a wire rack.
