INDONESIAN-STYLE BEEF
Portions : 4 - Preparation and marinating : 10 minutes - Cooking time : about 10 minutes
Ingredients
- 700 g (24 oz) beef flank steak
- 60 ml (4 tablespoons) yellow curry paste
- 2 kefir lime leaves
- 30 ml (2 tbsp.) lemongrass, chopped
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) cinnamon
- 5 ml (1 tsp.) Sriracha sauce
- 15 ml (1 tbsp.) ground coriander
- 3 ml (1/2 tsp.) ground cloves
- 60 ml (4 tbsp.) canola oil
- 250 ml (1 cup) chicken broth
- 250 ml (1 cup) coconut milk
- Salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
- In a bowl, mix curry paste, kefir lime, lemongrass, cinnamon, Sriracha sauce, coriander, clove powder and oil. Add and coat the meat with this mixture. Marinate for 5 minutes.
- In a hot frying pan, sear the meat for 2 minutes on each side.
- Remove the meat, pour the rest of the marinade into the pan, add the stock and coconut milk and reduce until syrupy. Check the seasoning.
- Serve with steamed rice.
